At Bles-Wold Yogurt we’ve been whipping up quality dairy products since 1996 but it all started in 1994. The Bos-Eilers family (us) immigrated from the Netherlands and founded Bles-Wold Dairy (which is where our cows live) and by 1995, our farm had a brand new dairy facility and 60 Holsteins. We named our farm Bles-Wold, a hybrid of of our hometowns, Blesdijke, and Steenwijkerwold.
A daughter with type 1 diabetes made us seek out a high quality and nutritious yogurt without added sugar. We couldn’t find it in the grocery store so we started producing our own yogurt in small batches for family and friends. After their resounding endorsements we took our product to the local farmers markets and then onto the local grocery stores.
Today, we sell our products in over 100 stores in communities all around Alberta. We’ve expanded our product range to include sour cream, yogurt drink and greek style yogurt. Our family farm has expanded as well and is now home to nearly 300 happy cows. Because on our dairy farm we take great care and effort to ensure cow comfort. Happy cows = happy farmers!
Bles-Wold is a premium product. It travels from our cows in the milking barn to the federally inspected yogurt production facility in a matter of hours, and arrives on grocery shelves in a matter of days. Really, from cow to shelf in 3days! This freshness and tight control over production means we know exactly what goes into our products.
